Incipit: sono le prime parole con cui si inizia un testo, un brano, un romanzo, un racconto.

Può capitare, in mezzo ad altra gente, di notare un volto oppure un gesto e perdersi a fantasticare sulla storia, più o meno improbabile, dietro “quel” volto o “quel” gesto. Una storia, una delle mille possibili.

E’ bello fotografare persone, “attori inconsapevoli” di una scena creata nella cornice del mirino, prendendo a prestito atteggiamenti, volti, gesti e situazioni, restituendoli poi trasmutati in immagini che dischiudono, sommessamente, altre storie possibili. Oppure evocano un proprio vissuto, fanno riaffiorare ricordi, suscitano piccole emozioni.

Incipit è un progetto di fotografie vere e storie false… o viceversa.

Incipit: these are the first words used to start a text, a piece, a novel, a story. It may happen, among other people, to notice a face or a gesture and get lost in fantasizing about the story, more or less improbable, behind “that” face or “that” gesture. A story, one of a thousand possible. It is nice to photograph people, “unconscious actors” of a scene created in the frame of the viewfinder, borrowing attitudes, faces, gestures and situations and shaping them into images. Images that disclose, quietly, other possible stories, or maybe they remind the observer of feelings, memories… little emotions.. Incipit is a project of true photographs and false stories … or vice versa.
