Il Bosco Panfilia si trova a S.Agostino, in provincia di Ferrara, nel bel mezzo di una delle zone più antropizzate dell’Emilia Romagna, racchiuso fra gli argini del fiume Reno con cui da secoli condivide la propria storia. Forse proprio quegli argini che lo delimitano, separandolo dalle coltivazioni, strade, fabbriche e paesi circostanti, gli hanno permesso di sopravvivere alle attività dell’uomo. Questo libro non intende descrivere e analizzare scientificamente il bosco in tutti i suoi vari aspetti ma è un ritratto, molto personale, della Panfilia "come la vivo io", un racconto per immagini delle piccole-grandi esperienze fatte con il bosco e le creature che lo abitano.

The Panfilia Wood is located near S. Agostino, a village in province of Ferrara, in the midst of an intensively manmade countryside. The wood is contained among the banks of the Reno river, with which from centuries it shares the own history. Perhaps just those banks that delimit it, separating it from the cultivations, surrounding roads, factories and countries, have allowed at the wood to survive to the activities of the man. This book does not mean scientifically to describe and to analyze this forest in all its several aspects but it is a personal portrait of the Panfilia wood “like I live it”, a story for images of the small-big experiences made with the forest and the creatures who inhabit it.
